Tried and True Backpacking Gear Guide
Your all inclusive backpacking packing list
Needing gear recommendations to complete you gear collection or maybe your needing to upgrade some gear? Check out all of my gear recommendations that I have personally trialed and errored for you.
Most categories have a budget friendly option included. I want to preface that although these options aren’t my top picks, they are a good bang for your buck. I understand most people can’t drop their entire life savings on gear, so I wanted to include options that make backpacking a little more affordable.

Backpacks
I highly recommend going to an outdoor store (ex REI, EVO) to get fitted for a pack. Each brand of backpacks are very different and fit everyone a little differently so make sure you know your true size!

All of the above options include day packs for side adventures during your trip, but note that these aren’t great day packs for long day hikes

Most backpacks include a rain shell, but incase yours doesn’t here is my favorite!
Sleeping and Shelter
Hiking Shoes
Boots are another item that I recommend trying on in person. Each brand fits differently and depending on the shape of your feet you may like other brands better! I personally have a wide toe box and have lost countless of toenails by wearing the wrong brand of shoes for my feet. Learn from my mistakes and get a shoe that fits YOUR feet!
